The panel looks original, but the glove box is a modification.

Incidentally, the small round hole on the right side under the windscreen was probably for a bulb horn - many Minor tourers seem to have been fitted with them in this location - and might be quite useful in the Jaipur rush hour!

Have you decided on a colour yet? When is it going to be sprayed? In that traffic, I'd probably go for luminous orange.

I have a fully restored steering wheel spare if you want it. It cost about GBP 200 to be restored and recovered in England, but it is in as new condition. I can send photos if you like.

Very confused about the colour, have been thinking of all black with burgundy/red wheels and upholstery
and the other thought is to go for dark green with black wings with tan/brown or black upholstery.

I will have to make up my mind this weekend , as I cannot delay work anymore.

Ian, is something amiss about the steering wheel I have, because I think it original
with all the bits , correct me if I am wrong

Your wheel is the correct type, but I'll get some pics of mine to you over the weekend - I think you'll notice a slight difference in condition.

complete there would only slight difference between the two

I could add the old quip about the crash being caused by the nut behind the wheel, but I won't!

Incidentally, I'm writing this on my iPhone while supping a pint of Fuller's ESB at the Three Lions English pub in Redmond, Washington - how cool is this!

9 days to go and its getting really tight, though we have made lot of progress in the last few days,
Most of the chrome is done, seats are ready , and hopefully tomorrow we'd finish the body paint work.

after that comes assembling , wiring and upholstery of the side panels and the hood work to name a few.

could it be for the lucas sparton horn ?

Definitely not original - remove it! The Sparton was clamped to the offside radiator tie rod.

Woah! Very shiny! There's nothing like a deadline to galvanize progress. That is the only thing that helped me finish the Semi-Sports after 12 years - I had it booked on a ship to England for our 2007 Dorset rally and to be presented to the Hambro family - the original owners. Maybe others that are close with their restorations should consider setting a similar hard commitments ...

Update : with 7 days to go , the car came out of the paint shop today ,
tomorrow's agenda is to re-paint parts of chassis with a fresh coat of paint
and then to start with the assembly of the fenders/wings/bumpers etc etc.

tomorrow promises to be even more exciting day....
Also have to decide the colour of the wheels, thinking about either red/maroonish or ivory/creme .

Indeed... it´s not British Racing Green.
