Buy It Now price seems a little steep. Restored chassis, but all the difficult/expensive stuff to do.
And STILL they keep turning up!

Unsold at £2,975 - reserve not met. These are pretty cars once restored but has the reality of restoration costs put bidders off?
The restored 1934 example below has been on eBay at £10,995 since last September and so far only the would be seller thinks it is worth that much. If the unrestored car was given away free I wonder what it would cost to fully restore. And what it would be worth when finished ? ....apparently something less than £10,995.
To be fair,of course, restoring old cars would never make sense to an accountant.

Re: 1932 2-seater on eBay
This is a good argument for oily rag preservation and if beyond immediate use then preserving as unrestored in a museum. not only would this restrict the cars available on the market so restored examples would reflect the restoration costs but also relieve the pressure to restore cars to absolute original/concours or beyond and also avoid the rivet counters
. You have to admit that the 34 car does look absolutely immaculate and weigh that against £6,000-£8,000 for a "good" example? Mind you, i'd be terrified of using it in the rain/cold/bright sun etc.!

if it's got wheels or chips - it'll cost you dear
