I'm just putting something together for the next magazine on total Minor production.
Looking at the data, we have 34,599 OHC Minors and 47,266 SV Minors.
However, there were approximately 500 Y-chassis exported to Australia in 1929 and then there were 3,060 GPO vans built after the end of the 1934 production season. (The earlier GPO vans had chassis numbers in the main production sequence.)
So this gives us a grand total of 85,385 Minors in all!

Re: Morris Minor total production
That seems a huge number - are there any comparators like those for Austin 7's over a similar time period?
I know they made just over 3000 Clyno 9's but that was over a much shorter production period which was the other of the big three in the 1920's.

Re: Morris Minor total production
The total production of Austin 7's was 290,000 but that was over a much longer time span of 1923 to 1939.
For the years 1928 to 1934, I need my copy of Wyatt, but it's currently on its way to England.
I think the Seven production outnumbered the Minor during these years, but not by a wide margin.

Re: Morris Minor total production
As for survivors, I have 493 OHC Minors and 741 SV for a total of 1,234, so about a 1.4% survival rate, although there are probably more SV Minors out there that are not yet on the Chassis Register, so perhaps a 1.5% rate would be close. I'd have to check on the A7 survival rate, but suspect it is greater that 1.5%.
But I've only been tracking OHC Minors for about 25 years and the SV's for less than that, while the A7 chassis register has been going for much longer.
None of this comes close to the MMM M.G. survival rates. Motorsport has been the driving factor in vintage car survival rates, and the Minor has been nowhere in it by comparison with the 7 and the M.G. since pre-war days. That's also why it is proving so hard to get SV Minors to enter competitive events like those of the VSCC, even though they are now eligible as PVT's, as they have little or no sporting heritage.

Have you got the Donald Cowbourne books? There are snippets in there about Minors in trials plus a couple of photos. But more research would be needed before a Minor specific log could be produced.
But of course the Minors sporting entries were vastly overshadowed by MG

No I haven't Jeremy. But I know that Ken Martin has assembled a log of Minors in competition pre-war.
