The Itinerary
Friday

The Classic Car Hub is located on the edge of the World War Two airfield of RAF Ablington and now houses a tremendous and ever changing collection of fine vintage and classic cars on display and for sale. The site also houses a beautifully-themed cafe, well-stocked shop and a state of the art racing simulator which we will be driving in ther afternoon.
Arrive around noon for lunch in the cafe and spend the afternoon touring the facility and climbing the Prescott long course on the Hub's high fidelity racing simulator which features wraparound screens and stunningly lifelike graphics. There will be NO charge for simulator runs.

We will depart the Motor Hub around 5 p.m. and take a short drive to the historic Plough at Ford where we will be holding our traditional weekend Informal Reception, joining others that will be arriving in the evening for the weekend. If you would like to book a table for dinner, please call 01386/584215. The kitchen will be open until 8-30 p.m.

The Plough at Ford is well-known to our members and always offers us a warm welcome.
If you would like to dine at The Plough on Friday evening, please call them on 01386/584215 to book a table.
The kitchen will be open until 8-30 p.m.
Park in the car park over the road or the other car park behind the pub.

Lower Slaughter, along with its twin village Upper Slaughter, both of which we will be visiting today, is one of the most charmingly picturesque Cotswold villages.
CCome and enjoy a relaxed day of touring and socializing in the glorious Cotswolds. Every entrant will receive a complementary Tour Handbook at the start, providing explicit route details and background information relating to the places of interest that we will be visiting along the route.
The day will start at Ye Olde Hobnails at Little Washbourne (OS150 991332, on the B4077 about four miles west of the Toddington roundabout) where breakfast will be available from 9 a.m. We will then set off, visiting various places of historic or scenic interest. We will head for Colesbourne Park for our now-traditional Summer Vintage Picnic. These picnics will be provided for us by Revills Farm Shop. Please find the Order Form here.
The afternoon run will conclude back at Ye Olde Hobnails where dinner will be available. If you would like to book a dable, please call them on 01242/621259).
Sunday
The Cotswold Navigation Rally and Scenic Tour

At an elevation of 1,034 feet, Broadway Tower literally towers over the Cotswolds. From the tower, sixteen counties can be seen on a clear day. It is not surprising therefore that the tower is the most prominent landmark of the Cotswolds but what might be less known is that in the 200 acre grounds of the surrounding park is a Cold War nuclear bunker.
The Cotswold Navigation Rally and parallel Scenic Tour will start with breakfast at Ye Olde Hobnails where the kitchen will open at 9 a.m.
Entrants may elect to compete in the Navigation Rally or simply take
a relaxing tour of approximately 60 miles,
wending its
way down hidden byways and through the sleepy hamlets of the Border country.
The Navigation Rallyists will be provided with their clue cards and answer cards at the start and will need Ordnance Survey Landranger maps 150 and 163 in order to plot the route.
Meanwhile, the Scenic Tourists will be provided with an informative Tour Handbook which will contain explicit and easy-to-follow route directions as well as a wealth of fascinating information describing various points of interest along the route.
And as a new feature this year, we are inviting our scenic tourists to optionally take the treasure hunt clues of the Navigation Rally with them at the start, so they can hunt out the same clues as the navigation rallyists, but without having to solve the crypric navigation clues to find them! There will be separate awards for this Tourist Treasure Hunt class, and taking part might encourage you to enter the full Navigation Rally next year!
The Roy Hogg Trophy will be awarded to the best Morris Minor/M Type performance in the Navigation Rally.
The Lewis and Nicholson Trophy will be awarded to the winning team in this traditional challenge between the Minors and the Austin 7's.
There will also be a Team Trophy, awarded to the winning team in the Team Challenge. The Team Challenge will be open to teams of three cars - three of the same marque, model or simply good friends!
There will also be a special trophy presentation for the best non Minor/M Type performance in the Navigation Rally.

On Sunday lunchtime, we are expected at the magnificent Victorian Hook Norton Brewery where a Ploughman's Lunch will await those who have pre-ordered via the Entry Form.
Sunday Evening

The day will conclude with cream teas at Stanway House where the Navigation Rally results will be calculated and awards presented to the victors!
Pre-order your cream teas via the Entry Form.
