Hello Folks
Someone's sure to know if the rear brake cables really do have the inner multi-strand cables just going through the hole in a brass "eye" mounted just outboard of each of the forward hangers of the rear spring? This eye would act as a stop for the cable outer as well, I'm assuming? That is, no pulley, bellcrank etc. just the cable rubbing on the brass. Thanks Nige

Hi Nige,

I'm not sure what cable you have got, but the rear cables should be simple cables - with no outer. And they do run through the bronze guides bolted on the outboard flanges of the rear spring front hanger castings.

The guides do no damage to the steel cables as the bronze is softer and the guides wear. As they tend to wear on one side, you can sometimes rotate them 180 degrees.
