The plot thickens. It looks like these sanction numbers should more accurately be referred to as model codes.
Here are three pictures of my McEvoy, showing the component serial numbers and codes. All three components share the same 74 model code. 74 is therefore the model code for the SV Minor - or at least the 1933 models with 4-speed non-synchromesh gearboxes.
I'd be very interested to receive these numbers from other owners' cars, so that we can build a better picture of the meaning of these serial numbers and model codes. The product code for the 1934 season MInors with synchromesh gearboxes is believed to be 110.
