Let's see how things develop - if not nav rally, then at least the tour will be good.

If there is any interest, I have booked the Farmers Arms at Birtsmorton, Worcestershire on Tuesday night of VSCC 75 for an Early Morris/MG meet. In return, we are invited to the Early MG Society's do at the Slip Inn, Much Marcle, near Ledbury on Friday evening.

More important VSCC 75 business.

On Saturday 8th August, the culmination of the week-long celebrations takes place on the Three Counties Showground at Malvern in what is billed as the “Saturday Spectacular-Showground Day”. This includes a whole host of activities, as published by the VSCC, and it is expected that the showground will be “heaving” with people and vintage cars.

The VMR could be invited by the VSCC to mount a display of our Vintage Minors and M Types, and we would have a dedicated VMR area on the showground for our use. However, as space near the centre of the activities will be at a premium, we will need to specify the number of cars expected, so that sufficient space can be allocated.

Irrespective of what other plans you have for the week, if you anticipate being on the showground on the Saturday with your vintage Minor or M Type and wish to be included in the display area, I need to know as soon as possible, so that I can organize this with the VSCC. This will be a great opportunity for us to fly the Vintage Minor flag. Any interest out there? I need to know QUICKLY so I can give numbers to the VSCC. I have also invited the M Types of the MMM Register.

Latest entry list as of yesterday's post:

Roger Burnett and friend from the USA, M Type Sportsman's Coupe
Eric Mouser, 1930 Minor saloon
Colin Lee, 1930 Minor saloon
Kate & Ken Martin, 1930 Minor saloon
David & Diana Roscoe, 1930 Semi-sports rep.
Simon Hodgins, 1931/33 Minor Jensen special
Toby Sears, 1933 Minor saloon
Stuart Cooke, 1929 Morris Cowley special
Mike Jones with Australian friends, Alvis 12/50

Other entries expected:

John Stubberfield, 1929 Minor tourer
Ronald & Heather Hogg, 1929 Minor tourer
Terry Synnott in a modern
Graham Beck and Beryl Williams in a modern
Frank van Voorst and Peter from Holland in a modern
Melvyn Tubb will be at Prescott on Sunday

Only two of the above entered the nav rally, so it has been scrubbed and those entries have been switched to the tour.

For the first time in many years, Mike Dowley will be present at, but not entering Prescott, so he will be around to chat to.

I have virtually no data on any entries in VSCC 75. Thus, the pub meet on Tuesday evening probably won't happen. However, the invitation to join the Morris Specials Group at their pub meet on Friday 7th August (after the Light Car Rally) at the Slip Inn, Much Marcle still stands.

Anyone else planning to attend?
