The first day without spring rains for weeks - and it was glorious. Flew from Everett up to Roche Harbor in the San Juan Islands between the USA and Canada.

On approach into Roche Harbor. The hotel on the right is where our daughter is to be married at the end of August.

Muggins with Cessna 150, with the most gorgeous amphibious DHC Beaver behind. Beavers are everywhere up here - and all on floats. BEFA is the Boeing Employees Flying Association.

Climbing out of Roche enroute Everett. These islands are heaven on earth.

Back downwind to land at Everett 34 Left. The huge building on the left is where the 747,767,777 and the new 787 Dreamliners are built. Note all of the new Boeings parked on the ramp and the Cascade mountains in the distance - VMR HQ is back there somewhere in the foothills.

Hi Guys,
Just spent the morning taking the head off the minor to examine a problem with fuel being spat back through the carburettor.
The piece of head gasket between cylinders 2 and 3 was missing
I think i did the damage whilst driving a little too quickly along the A25 towards Sevenoaks being "chased" by a routmaster bus.
Any way, does anyone know where i can get a new head gasket please?
It's the overhead cam engine.
Thanks Colin.

Morning Colin,

Why does all fun have consequences? :D

I have a spare - unused Payen - I'll get it in the post to you tomorrow.

Cheers,

Ian

Today I got rear-ended on the way to work by a truck that then took off leaving three damaged cars behind. Looks like my trusty 2002 Sable is a write-off. :(
