A non-member (future member?!) has contacted me - desperate for a sound SV head for his near-completed '34 Minor restoration.
Can anyone help him?

There is a cheap s.v. block and head on ebay at the moment. Not sure if its the 1934 type. I know the last sv. heads were an improved design.

This head is an early type but would fit if desperate.
Re: SV cylinder head urgently needed
Has a head been found? What does a 34 head look like compared to others?

if it's got wheels or chips - it'll cost you dear
Re: SV cylinder head urgently needed
Um... I'll have to check my e-mail for around 6th March and remind myself who it was! Creeping Alzheimers - or maybe all those Martinis onboard - or maybe it was the 25 year old Macallan... The youngest brandy in the Churchill cigar lounge was 1942 and the oldest I could see was 1904 - that's pre-Titanic!

If they're a member then I MAY be able to help, as long as we see the car at the summer rally!

It was Barry Treloar - new member number 297. I have e-mailed him to ask if he is still in need. He lives in Cornwall, so a bit of a trek to East Anglia! He has a 1934 2-seater NV 3954 34/MS/45322.

Barry tells me that he has now obtained a good head.
