Dates for April

Post by Ian Grace »

We have two!

Our spring meet will take place at The Old Bull, Inkberrow, Worcestershire at lunchtime on Sunday 6th April, and we have a short run organized on Drive-it-Day, Sunday 27th April, starting with breakfast at Ye Olde Hobnails Inn, Little Washbourne (OS150 991332, on the B4077 about four miles west of the Toddington roundabout), and visiting the Great Western Steam Railway at Toddington and the RAF Defford Museum en route to lunch at The Old Bull at Inkberrow.

The Drive-it-Day run will replace our regular monthly pub lunch at the Fountain, Oldwood.

Full details of both meets can be found in our April Newsletter - due out this weekend.

Is the meeting on Sunday (6th) still going ahead? It appears to have disappeared from the Old Bull website.

Yes. I'll be there with the fabric saloon.

Excellent. See you there. I'll be in the two-seater (as always  )

What route do you take when you come to The Fountain. I'm looking at here to Knightwick, Worcester southern bypass.

I would probably head along the A443 to Great Witley, turn towards Droitwich at the Junction with A4133 at Holt Heath, over the Severn at Holt Fleet, through Ombersley and Droitwich, and onto the Salt Way (B4090) before turning right about a mile west of Feckingham (signposted Bradley Green). That'll will bring you into Inkberrow with a total distance of 36 miles. I would avoid Worcester by-pass in the Minor.

Yeah, I'm going to cross the river at Holt Fleet but stick to yellow roads after Ombersley. At least it will be scenic! I'm planning to head out about 9-30 to get there at about 11-30 without pushing it.

Just cleaned the Welsh dirt off it and filled it up ready for the morning start.
