Re: wheels

Ian,

Could you place a wanted add for the wheels for me? I need a handbrake lever that suits my car as well and two headlamps.

wheels

This is what my wheels look like. They are 18' wheels from a 1934 car and because these don't fit at 6 stud hubs the previous owner has drilled some aditional wholes (one size fits all). Is it worthwile to restore these wheels or should I be on the lookout for a second hand set of correct wheels? Wh...

Re: GS-89-25

an easy out tool....I could have thought of this... I discussed things with Halbe today. He advised to derivet also the castings that need to be bushed in order to hold the shackle pins. I am not as skilful as Halbe so I need some things to be done at a professional workshop and they probably don't ...

Re: GS-89-25

One of the two shackle pins of the rear springs is broken in the chassis. Suggestions how to remove it. Is the best way to remove the housing around the shakle pin from the chassis? The other side came out easily because the thread is almost gone there. What is the best way to repair the thread on t...

Re: Hardy Spicer prop shaft question

I believe this is a crashbox although fitted with a handbrake lever from a later car. Correct me if wrong. My proshaft is 86,5 cm measured over the longest possible lenth i.e. from disc to disc, inside to inside.

Re: GS-89-25

After removing the body I found two unusual brackets welded on my chassis. They were use to connect the inner wings to the chassis. Ik this a known modification? Should I keep them or would remove them?

GS-89-25

After having bought this car three years ago and having visited 3 summer ralleys in a modern car I finally got to the point where I can start with the restoration of my 1932 2 seater. It is believed to be an original Dutch car or at least it has been in the Netherlands for a long time. The number pl...

Front/rear wings

I am about to start with my 1932 (model 1933) two seater project. Currently the RDW (Dutch DVLA) is finding out whether they can issue me the original license plate. If that is finished I will start the restoration. I will need front and rear wings. One front wing I bought from Ian but the other one...
