Re: The Non Minor related thread

You should carry on! I took the TC out on a 300 mile jaunt, the first 75 miles looked like this!

Re: forum images

This happens to me as well, I think it is down to the image being too big to fit in the forum screen. Attached images get scroll bars but the photobucket ones just get chopped off!

Re: NG 850

Clive, You are a brave man! This is quite a project, having had cars like this in the past I fully understand the problems you will have, not easy! I remember trailering a Jowett 8 from Somerset and another Jowett Bradford from near Brecon, some mates saw me the next week and passed back a bag of bi...

Minor Dash Panel

Finally in this batch I have a dash panel, just the metal the switch gear is missing although the switches themselves are there.

If you are interested please let me know via the forum or email marcos67uk@yahoo.co.uk

Many thanks

Minor Firewall for Sale

More clearance items! This time a fire wall and chassis brackets, the fire wall is in excellent condition, and the chassis brackets are very usable although one needs a small crack welding up. I also have a scuttle fuel tank with cap and support brackets. Also in the picture are the rear chassis to ...

Minor Radiator For Sale

Further clearing has brought a honey combe radiator into the light, it has a chrome surround so I think this makes it 1930/1931. The surround is missing the radiator badge and the short section that goes on the filler. The core looks sound and as far as I can tell holds water but I have not had it o...

Re: Minors in competition

The hill at the tea stop was great, we got 17! It was more difficult getting to the start point. We watched an A7 wiggle through the trees and then get all tied up not getting one of the turns right. Being only the second car through we were a little worried and I thought if we moved at all in the m...

Re: Minors in competition

Special yes - in that at our advanced years we still have not grown up! My lad and youngest daughter came back from "trialing" in the field with thier go kart, mud everywhere, a neighbour commented - at least they grow out of that as they get older - then he saw the Minor covered in mud! T...

Re: Hubcap removal

My caps have a bolt and nut with a large brass square washer on the inside, all you have to do is undo the nut and off you go! This sounds like a modification but perhaps a sensible one!

Re: Gas welding

This looks interesting but the pictures of the bodywork welding can just as easily be acheived with MIG. In my experience one of the advantages of gas is that you can have a more general heat on the work object and then specific heat at the sight of the weld, this torch acts more like MIG in that it...

Re: Minors in competition

Chris, Saloons were certainly the best option for Saturday, it rained pretty much non-stop, there were some very wet tourer drivers! We did not do that well in spotting the photo locations only scoring 4/15 Sunday was better, had the folding roof open most of the time. The 9 hill trial was good fun ...

Re: VG2007

Yes that is just to area that gets the rust, must trap water inbetween the wings and the chassis. Looks like a straight forward repair though so as you say nothing to loose sleep over.

Re: Which Oil is Best ?

The oil pressure on side valve engines is a lot lower than the ohc ones, I can sure others will have more specific details but I don't think 40psi is too bad for one of these engines.
