Does anyone have the dimensions of the bracket that bolts on to the knuckle/swivel assembly? I am sure that somebody, at some stage told me that it was possible to use the handbrake cables from a post-war Minor for this conversion?

Weather in Durham was nearly as good as the forcast with a little sea mist added. The picture from the Pier should show Tynmouth Abbey in the background! Thanks Sam, that does explain why I do have to be careful when changing both up and down gear. Has anyone any experience of trying to re-profile the bottom of the gear lever? what shape should it be?
