Re: Tappet spanner.
I would certainly be interested in a pair. I've got a friend who runs a small laser cutting place in Shotley, i'm sure he could knock them up as and when required for a decent price, rather than having to build up a big enough order.

Re: RT 8431
Right, Its been a while since I've posted an update, Sorry, I've been running round like a headless chicken. It now has some rear reflectors, they are the same as the one that came off, whether there genuine or not, I don't know. The rear lights have been sorted and a new battery ordered. We took it...
Re: RT 8431
Andrew and all, We have a new member in need of an exhaust for his LWB (SV) special. He's having trouble sourcing one - any ideas? Just the silencer or the pipes as well? RT's silencer looks remarkably the same as the one on our Fergie TED20, I'll measure it to see if has the same pipe diameter. Th...

Re: RT 8431
What sort of wiper arm do you want? I have dozens. Highlander. Errrr!!! I'll have to check this evening with Dad. All I know is that the current one on fitted is wrong. I need one that will take a peg type wiper blade. Thanks for the offer. I'm sure I read somewhere that all Minors had vacuum wiper...
Re: RT 8431
Right... The misfiring was traced to the distributor cap. I gave it a light sand to remove carbon tracking and it is now firing on all four. The solenoid is now mounted below the passenger side floorboard and all wired into the original push button. I have also repaired the fuel gauge and built a cl...

Wiper arm
Hi
We have the wrong wiper arm fitted to RT, Does anyone have a spare correct one with the fitting for the peg type wiper. I've had a look on the internet, but can't find anything.
Thanks
Andrew

Re: RT 8431
Right an update... I put the engine back together after making a new manifold stud ( the old one sheared off), then spend half an hour trying to start it, before wondering why it wouldn't fire. I'd got the cam shaft timing 180 degrees out... I sorted it and it fired up but was only running on 3 cyli...

Re: RT 8431
To be honest I haven't really had time to look at it, the head lights were already connect at the headlight end, I just wired it to the dashboard. I will check the earth tomorrow, as well as my wiring. Trouble is, most of what I work on (vintage horticultural tractors) don't have much in the way of ...
Re: RT 8431
Ok, thats not what I was hoping to hear
Its just that the offside headlamp is very very dim, I was hoping that I had wired it incorrectly and that It was just dipped.
Oh well, another problem to sort...

Re: RT 8431
Right, the dynamo is now working, in the fact that it lights and blows a bulb, but still no charge shown on the ammeter. I will check my wiring. Is there anything, apart from the fact it is all Lucas components, that could be causing this? (regulator fault?) But... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6d...
