Well done Tony - your are more successful than me. I've been watching an item on ebay for my Rover 8 all week hoping to sneak a bid in at the last second but then completly forgot about it!

1931 type wheel on ebay
This wheel is listed just as a 'vintage wheel' so might be missed. If it were nearer I would be after it myself. There is always a risk that sellers could scrap items like this if they don't sell (which they often don't) so I hope theres a member closer to West Yorshire who could make use of it.

Re: If I'm not mistaken..........
looking again, you may be right! I had presumed they were Jowett as the advert suggests the front stub axles are Jowett. May also be Triumph super seven with extra holes drilled to fit what ever the hubs are.

Re: If I'm not mistaken..........
I think the only morris component is probably the radiator shell - flat nose cowley? The chevrolet four cylinder engines are interesting things made famous in the States on the dirt tracks by John Gerber and on the salt flats by Bob Rufi. They both used the earlier block and three port head though. ...

Re: another Minor for sale
The Maddox look very intresting - presumably none of these have survived? The term 'doctor's coupe' seems to be very wide. I would say the Maddox is closer to than the Rolls. A two seater with a high fixed roofline and rounded trunk seem to define the classic shape. Can't find a single period pictur...

Re: another Minor for sale
I agree, the 'Doctors Coupe, looks like a cut down saloon. Are there any known original minor 'Doctors Coupe'? and why did Doctor's choose this body shape if in fact they ever did? Does anyone know the origins of this term. Perhaps it is a term left over from the Edwardian period when small closed c...

Re: The thing from the deep
Wow - from the photo on the home page it looks remarkably well preserved. Perhaps all the mud has kept the oxygen out. Looking forward to seeing some more photos when its completely out.
