Re: Pew-War cars and the VSCC
This is great news. It will hopefully give me the impetus to finish my 34 long chassis side valve special instead of wondering if I should be spending my limited funds and time on a car I can actually use in the vscc. (Hopefully specials will also be included) Will this include vscc trials? I still ...

Minors Sold Yesterday
I heard about these a bit too late but both seem interesting cars. They sold yesterday and seemd to go very cheaply. Are they known to the club? - I haven't checked the register yet. It would be worth recording their registrations incase they disappear. http://www.dnfa.com/search.asp?view=keyword&am...

Re: Introduction
Hi Will, Is that an ex. police Morris Minor? it looks the right colour. Pre-war Minor restoration projects seem to start around £1000. You are probably more likely to find a s.v car at this price rather than a ohc. car. This one sold for apparently £1000 a week ago: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1931-Morris...

Re: Maybe Morris
Here's another mystery that could be a morris 'maybe'. The chassis which is clearer on the original photo is definitely of Morris Minor or Wolseley Hornet origin. The wheelbase means it would have to be a lwb minor. The fact that the step in the chassis side member is so far back suggests it is Wols...

Re: Skinner for sale
The photo above shows the car at Brooklands. This is 1970s print from a British Leyland Negative. It was rescued with a pile of others from a skip outside a Bristish Leyland factory. I purchased it at Hatherleigh Autojumble in Devon.

Skinner for sale
The skinner Triangle special is advertised for sale on the vscc website. This is the one that was developed from the 100 mph 100 mpg brooklands car. I think continual period development means there is little of its minor origins left but it is still an important part of minor history. I hope it rema...

This seller has several parts listed as from a 1929 minor. Never seen one of these before - is it a standard minor part?

LWB chassis for possible exchange
An elderly gentleman from Frome keeps phoning me to see if I have a short minor chassis for sale. He has a collection of pre war morris and MG parts from which he is determined to build a 'pre-war' looking special - 'a bit like a MG M type'. He has aquired a long wheelbase minor chassis which is mis...

Re: NV 2803 - 1933 McEvoy Special
Hi Ronald - very interesting. I recently put Bev on to another McEvoy which is currently languishing in Wantage - much mutilated and with a Rover engine, but it could be sorted and Bev may be the man for the job. Is this the morris special known as 'Lord Pembleton'? - it was sold in Surrey about 6 ...
Re: AF 3758
This my restoration project! It is very very weathered. Top photo show the car soon after collection on axle stands just prior to unseizing the backaxle which somehow had rocks in it. The boot was full of rats nests (it had been stored in a Barn on the Isle of Man) and the timber frame was full wood...
