Re: The search for SV Minors
Today I travelled to the Ockley area of Surrey to see my old 14.40 Humber. This was Oswold Mosley's car .......... she had a Lagonda, Rover, 500 Fiat (1950) and a 1933 Morris Minor 2 seater!!! It looked in good order but had not run for a few years as the battery was flat! She has owned it for 40 y...

Re: Bearings
The following may be of interest: As far back as the 1970's, the Morris Register spares catalogue was listing R&M LJ40 (S.K.F. 6208) as the rear hub bearing for all Minors OHC & SV 1929 to 34, Series E Eight's, 10/4 Series II, III & M, 12/4 Series II & III and 14/6 Series II & I...

Re: Bearings
Having wrecked my CWP and rebuilt the diff, I decided to replace the wheel bearings while I am at it. I have sourced them at 7.75 GBP each, plus VAT and carriage for 2 off! I suspect they won't give much discount for small quantities, say up to 50 items, The supplier is one of the old companies who...

Ken
Sounds like you could write a book about the memorable drives in the Minor! Mind you sounds like they were not always memorable in a posative way!

Front Seats
Did the Front seats in the OHC Minor Tourers originally have coiled springs in them?

Re: 1932/33 Saloon on eBay ends 18th May
This is an excellent example of why it is most unwise to use a suspended tow on a vehicle with fabric couplings! I bet he towed it at around 50 mph at which speed most minors so equiped are shaking themselves to bits. It could have been much worse though and a flailing propshaft could have hacked th...
