Re: Rear wheel bearings
Thankyou ever so much for all your help, It seems that the bearing was moving around inside the hub ie I could (when the wheel is off the ground) push the wheel in then wobble it about, if I pulled upon the wheel things got better. An engineer friend is putting it back together with some shims to el...

Re: Rear wheel bearings
Hi Ian,
Thx for your thoughts - to be honest I'm not sure - i need to take it all apart and have a good old look - it's just not the same as other bearing assemblies I've looked at
I'll investigate further and post again if I'm puzzled
Kindest Regards,
Jon

Dear All, My 32 minor failed the mot as one rear wheel wobbles a bit (to much play in a bearing I believe) Can anyone direct me to a diagram that shows how the bearing set up should look as I've tinkered and can't see how I nip the blighter up. The hub also seems to move around (back & forward) ...

Re: oil pressure (lack of)
Hi again all, I have found the problem - the union from the pipe to the oil pump side leaks (established when I overfilled the sump as per prior advice) thus dragging air in. The 'nut' is quite badly butchered hence my inability to tighten it properly. Any idea what I need to ask for when I look to ...

oil pressure (lack of)
I'm stumped and would welcome any advice. I have a SV minor special - running well with v strong oil pressure. The copper pipe that goes from the sump strainer to the oil pump was leaking from an end flange - I broke it during removal so I had a new one made up and replaced it taking the opportunity...

Re: Advice for a newbie
Thankyou all for your kind advice, I have tried reducing tickover, it was a little fast. I will try altering the clutch operation - this looks like it is merely moving the actuating lever anticlockwise on the shaft that sticks out of the gearbox which will make the pedal come up on the floor more I ...
