David

The attached exploded diagram may help. The head is not Minor , but the attachments are basically the same.

Re: Valve timing wheel

Hi Ian Yes , they are the same. The Castrol one on EBay at the moment [ £2.45 currently ] is identical to the one in the technical section of this website. You only use the disc to measure angular rotation. Thus you set up a pointer [ fixed on the cylinder head or some point that will not move on th...

Re: Valve timing wheel

Ian There are several valve timing discs on EBay at the moment. Just search under " Timing Disc" . In fact there is a nice Castrol one for a few pounds which looks great ! You will also need a dial guage ! There are several web sites which give good guidance on how to do it. I can let you ...

Re: Rear Main Journal Flange

Colin Not sure whether this will be of any use , but worth a try. Some several months ago a chap in Herne Bay [ not a million miles from you !! ] was advertising a horde of MG M spares including engines , crankshafts etc etc. His name was John Miller , and I think that as he was getting older [ aren...

Re: Nickel plated bezel for Eureka oil pressure gauge.

Halbe

You can get brand new bezels for oil guages on EBay !

Just search under "bezel" and you will find several. You could have them nickel plated , but chrome looks fine.

Re: OHC gearbox gears needed

Hi

I have the internals from several three-speed boxes. Let me know which bits you want. They are not new , but could be better than you have.

Re: Hundred Pound ash frames

I, too, agree with the last two views. The rolling chassis are bound to survive longer than the bodies , and it is important to keep them on the road. I am not an enthusiast for putting just any body on the chassis , I would like to keep some authenticity , but if some more of the rarer bespoke bodi...

Re: Hundred Pound ash frames

Coincidentally , Ian , I have asked Father Christmas for a band saw ........ to attempt to copy a semi-sports body whilst I have the Roy Hogg semi sports in the "skeleton" condition.

Don't "watch this space" as it will probably end up looking like a van !!

Re: Fabric Couplings

Hi All

Here is a picture of an "original" coupling. The dimensions quoted above are all correct , and I confirm that the bolt holes are indeed 5/16 inch.

This one looks like it is made of several thicknesses of leather !!
