Davids Cooksey and Roscoe on the start line - VMR Prescott 2005
Welcome to
the Vintage Minor Register's 2010 Summer Rally webpage.
The 2010 VMR
Summer Rally will return to Prescott and the glorious Cotswolds.
Come and enjoy
a wonderful weekend of rallying, touring and socializing among old friends
and new.
Below we hope
you will find all the Rally information you need to make your weekend a
most enjoyable one.
If you have
any questions, or need any further information or help in booking accommodation,
simply e-mail
the Register. This web page will be updated as more details of
the weekend are finalized.
Because this
is our tenth anniversary Rally, a number of special features are being
planned for the weekend.
(Photos of our 2003 Prescott meet may be found here and our 2005 meet here.)
Prescott Hill
has been reserved by the Register for Saturday 24th July 2010, but because
of the
considerable
cost of hiring the hill, insurance, etc., we need to be sure that we will
have
sufficient
entries to cover costs.
Interested
owners are therefore being asked to download, complete and return the Declaration
of Interest form.
If sufficient
numbers are received by the end of 2009, when the deposit falls due, then
we will
go ahead and
finalize the booking.
A number of vintage clubs have been invited and all pre-war cars will be most welcome to join us.
So please take
a moment to send in your form.
Please also
contact
the Register if you require any information further to that given below.
The Rally Itinerary

Friday Evening
The weekend will commence with our traditional informal Reception at a suitable local hostelry.
Saturday
A Vintage Garden Party and Untimed Climbs at Prescott
The view that awaits you
The historic
hill at Prescott will be open all day for unlimited untimed climbs.
Because this
is not a competiton, no protective clothing scrutineering or racing licenses
will be required.
Saloons may
climb the hill, and you may also take passengers.
Climb in a
stately fashion, or energetically - the marshals will let you know if you
are being too energetic!
Full onsite
catering and bar facilities will be available, plus Vintage Picnics supplied
to order.
Arrangements
have been made with the Bugatti Trust to open their museum for us on Saturday.
There will
be no charge for entry.

the Trust and the museum may be found here.
Saturday Evening
The Vintage BBQ and Jazz Night
Provisional
plans call for a Vintage BBQ and Jazz evening on the hill.
More details
to follow.
Sunday
The Cotswold Navigation Rally and Scenic Tour
The Cotswold
Navigation Rally and parallel Scenic Tour will start from the Paddock at

miles of the most charming Cotswold scenery, calling in at numerous places
of interest en route.
There will be a lunch stop at a suitable inn and the Rally will conclude with cream teas and results.
The Roy
Hogg Trophy will be awarded to the highest scoring Minor and
the Lewis
& Nicholson Trophy will be awarded to the winning team from the
Minors and Austin Sevens.
Other marque
teams are invited to enter and will compete for the Team Award.
Sunday Evening
The Farewell Pub Run
Venue TBA.

Accommodation
May we suggest
that you consider booking your accommodation early,
as suitable
accommodation in the area is always at a premium in July.
A Rally accommodation
page will be posted here shortly.
Camping in
the Orchard at Prescott has also been arranged.
