Vintage Minor Register
The Roy Hogg Trophy
Roy Hogg was a true vintage
Miner enthusiast and founder memebr of the Morris Eight Tourer Club and
the
Vintage Minor Register.
He owned a number of vintage Minors, but the most well-known among is stable
was MT 3286 - a 1929 tourer
which he bought in 1962 and took all over England covering thousands of
miles.
When Roy passed away in
2001, MT 3286 passed to Roy's son Ronald, and Roy's widow
Heather presented the Register
with its first Trophy - the Roy Hogg Trophy - which
is awarded annually for
the best performance by a Vintage Minor in our annual Navigation Rally.
The Trophy was first competed
for in 2002 and Ronald was to have presented it to the winner.
However, he had to be disappointed,
as he won the Trophy himself!
