The saloon is VMR member Dennis Wilson's in Wantage, WE 9758 (M29355),original engine U29724 fitted, body MP5995, first registered 14/10/30.

Register notes:

"ex-Arthur James (Jim) Hunt, 39, Roedich Drive, Taverham, Norwich, NR8 6RA (H) 01603/868093. Sold to Dennis Wilson June 2006. Ex-Julian Hanwell, 11 Bryony Way, Attleborough, Norfolk, NR17 1QL (H) 01953/457420 hanwellj@btinternet.com. Bought Feb 2001 from Robert Simpson, brother of Andrew Simpson. Had been owned for 15 years. Robert bought from a Phillips sale. Car in excellent condition, but not run for a while. Previous owner to Robert was James Albert Thorpe, 6 Kenwood Ave., Manchester. There is a story that the car was originally owned by the owner of a large country house, and bequeathed to the gardener. Dennis also reports that it was owned at one time by the Historic Motor Hire Co. Ltd. (now defunct) and was used in various film and TV productions. He reports that an auctioneer claimed that it had been kept on a larger estate and was the head gardener's company car"

Looks good value.
