Went to London today up the M3.......... and barelling along was an Itala................. damn great thing doing about 70.......... not bad for that sort of thing, wouldn;t wanna pick the flies out of my teeth at the end of the day though eh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was it this one, Ronald? This is the famous ex-Sam Clutton 1908 12.7 litre Grand Prix Itala. It is one of the world's oldest surviving Grand Prix cars. Sam acquired it in 1938 and competed with it that year at the inaugural Prescott hill climb.

Here it is in touring trim getting a wash on the 2005 Light Car Summer Rally:

Wasn't that one Ian, the one we saw was open wheeled...........!!!

Apparently there were quite afew older cars out and about this weekend, there was i believe an event at Prescott, not sure the itala was involved though, he was lost if he was heading that way!!!
