Having put the above info on the forum last night, I recieved an email this morning from someone I do not recognise offering to tell me of a complete minor in a barn and asking if I am interested. This may well be genuine and if it is I apologise to the person who sent it. It may also be a con, so I have not answered it. Has anyone else had such an email. Mike

I have had two spoof e-mails in response to spares wanted ads, but not one for a car. The spoof ads gave themselves away because the English was mangled.

I also received a spoof mail directly after placing a wanted add. I also get the impression that my add attracks more viagra resellers than people selling magna wheels

I placed a wanted ad on an MG site some time ago looking for P-type con rods. Someone emailed saying he had what I wanted and asking a really silly (high) price. When I asked for more information he gave no real answer and I was going to forget about it.Then he phoned and sounding like Ali G he asked "Is we doin business or not?" Feeling inspired I asked "Are these con rods the proper original wooden type or the modern plastic copies?" He was most emphatic they were the proper wooden type.I hate to pass up an opportunity but I didn't buy them.
