Interesting 'barn find' Morris 8 for sale

Registered in Lancashire late 1934, so an early Pre-Series 2-seater.

Spotted by Peter Caldwell. Location is Alabama.

MoT'd in Huntingdon in 1971.

Just spoke to the owner, Mark Moody. This car was imported from the UK after restoration in 1966 by the vendor's father. It came into Mobile Bay, Alabama and was driven to Montgomery. He recently passed away, which is why his son is selling the car. He is asking $4,500 for it, which seems very reasonable.

I shall have the chassis number and some more photos of the car shortly. I'll also ask Harry Edwards if he has a record of the car. It is not a Minor, but is a very early 8, and I'd hate to see it hotrodded!

I now have good images of the 1960 continuation longbook, showing chassis number 8850, first registered 2/11/34. Seven owners between 1960 and 1971. In 1971 it was based at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk.
