Running board rubbers

Now over 50 years ago I worked for Bowater Packaging (Corrugated cartons) and if anyone wanted say - Morris Minor - printed on the side of a carton were had men who would cut the words out of hard canvas backed rubber. They were very skilled. I gave one a drink and he cut out two Scott (Motorcycle) footboard rubbers better than new. This men have long gone and it is all done on a computer and moulded. Happy days.
