UN 6979
Took my '34 two seater for an airing today, unfortunately it was much too powerful for the conditions!
Re: UN 6979
Nice one Trevor! Happy New Year!

Re: UN 6979
Try adding some ballast or maybe you need my 450x19 tyres (and a set of 19"rims)?
if it's got wheels or chips - it'll cost you dear

Re: UN 6979
Once I'm in the car I can assure you that no additional ballast is required!
I will also stick with the 18" wheels as they withstand the cornering stresses better.

I am off to Anglesey on Thursday (about 250 miles) for a long weekend in the Minor, according to the forecast we should arrive soon after the cold front, perfect timing!!
Re: UN 6979
Bon voyage Trevor, and don't for get to pack the camera obscura this time.

Had a good few days in North Wales, b####y cold at times, even snowed as we went over the Llanberis pass. And the hood was down!
Re: UN 6979
That's the spirit, Trevor! Looks like a far cry from Biggleswade.
Can I ask for a bit of a trip report for the Magazine once your fingers have thawed?!

The other Minor at little Gransden was mine. (Didn't photograph the car)
Re: UN 6979
Thanks Trevor. So your other car is a Hawker Hurricane?

Re: UN 6979
I have treated myself to a cheap dashcam to see how it performs plugged into the 6 volt accessory socket that I fitted, (the sat nav works fine from this 6 volt supply).
Well it powers up when the ignition is switched on and records ok, the sound has interference when the dynamo output stops but I am quite happy with the results.
I have a couple of recordings of a trip today to fill with petrol.
