But seriously, I'll try to find the blue fabric closest in colour to the original (1929 brochure), and get some paint mixed (standard ral.) to match .
The best fabric match so far comes from William Marston Blue WM73

Nice. Good low-key tone and very close to the original, I would have thought.

I believe someone in the Bullnose Morris Club had some fabric made to the original grain pattern (which had black in the grain), but I don't think it was blue. But it might be worth contacting the club's technical officer to see what he can tell you.

The other problem with all these modern fabrics is their thickness - not a problem on the seats, but makes making neat corners on the trim panels. Ronald Hogg would also be well worth talking to before cutting cloth.
