2011 VMR Summer Rally

No, that's not a typo - there is info on the 2011 summer rally. The 2010 summer rally will mark the 10th anniversary of the Register, and the 2011 rally will be our tenth summer rally.
While no information is yet available on the 2010 rally, I can tell you that the 2011 rally is likely to be centred around Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Our daughter, Amanda, has recently announced her engagement to an English gentleman, and the Wedding is being planned for July/August 2011. Since the great majority of friends and family are UK-based, she will be married from her Godfather's home in Tarlton, near Cirencester - and the VMR will be invited. And for obvious logistic reasons, the summer rally will bracket the Saturday Wedding with some suitable form of Friday social and the nav rally/tour on Sunday. Amanda would be delighted to have as many vintage cars as possible at the Wedding - and of course, anything a little larger than the Bed-Pan might be a good idea for the Wedding car! It is likely that our close friends in the Early MG Society will help out with their 18/80's.
So there you have it. Of course, girls have been known to change their minds before now, so plans might change. But this is the current thinking. Now to get back to finalizing the 2009 summer rally - for which I have received ONE entry to date! Woohoo!!!
