Yes, instant - I got the PayPal e-mail forwarded to me here in the office from my daughter, and the whole thing took just a few moments.

Perhaps we can now persuade some of the Dutch fence (or dyke?) sitters to come aboard!

One less reason for not joining,
I'll try to get more people on board but the Dutch are real fence sitters
If they want to join the fun this year they really ought to join, don't you think ?

I am glad my suggestion of Pay Pal worked. The only thing I don't understand is, we are all probably frequent ebay purchasers and in my opinion there is no other way to pay so did most members think that was the only way to use it?.

Ian you might investigate how to send a Paypal invoice so that your members who have the facility only need to do a couple of clicks to pay up.

Another good idea, which I will look into. I'd have to ask all members to let me know if they have a PayPal account.

When Halbe paid his GBP 20, GBP 19-01 actually turned up in my daughter's PayPal account, but it would get complicated asking for GBP 21 from PayPal payers and GBP from everyone else.

I don't think that the club should be punished for accepting paypall payments .
For us who don't have the opportunity to sent a check using paypall is an excellent alternative and at 21 pounds it's still a lot cheaper than having the bank making a cheque. It's also very very easy.

I would be happy to pay a quid or so more to simply not have to pick a pen up, write a cheque, and then post it...... clicking is sooo easy....:)

OK - GBP 21 for PayPal it is then. I'll update the membership form and subs reminder paperwork for the future. Thanks for the encouragement.
