Position of cross-box

Am having to partly rebuild the body of a 1929 4-seater tourer. Grateful if someone would please let me know the correct position of the rear face of the wooden cross-box relative to the front face of the rear-most main crossmember of the chassis. Is it meant to be in line with the front face of the chassis crossmember or slightly forward or slightly back (in which case, of course, the depth of the back of the cross-box needs to be such that it doesn't foul the top of the chassis member). Thanks.

Hi Fred,

I just did a '29 tourer floor last year and can confirm that the rear vertical timber of the cross-box fits JUST forward of the rear main chassis cross-member. I have the drawings of this box assembly if you need them. For which car is this bvody being built/restored?
