This one is back again.

"Rebuilt Rolling Chassis for '29/'30s MG Midget/Morris Minor. Consisting of: Chassis frame, front/rear axles, springs, shockers, diff, finned brake drums, new brake shoes and brake pipes, brake cross shaft, firewall and 19" knock-on outer laced spoked wheels with tyres. All blast cleaned and repainted apart from wheels. Also, Reliant 850cc OHV Engine/gearbox with all ancilliaries, suitable for installation in the chassis. Can also supply plans to build Minor Tourer body. Serious offers invited over £1,500. Tel: 01782 515802."

This reportedly sold for GBP 800 at BCA last July "to a VMR member". Nope. Chassis number is M21064 (about March 1930), but no V5 - number (UT 6674) probably sold off.

The same vendor is offering:

Pair of Timing Sprockets for 1930's Morris Minor. (Side Valve Engine). £20. Plus postage at cost. Tel: 01782 515802.

Pair of Front Hubs for 1930's Morris Minor. (3 Stud). With Bearings. £30. Plus postage at cost. Tel: 01782 515802.

Complete set of 3 Speed gears for 1930's Morris Minor. Appear to be in very good condition, apart from some visible pitting on drive gear, (Spigot shaft splines) and the inevitable odd chip on engagement dogs. (Neither being detrimental to operation or performance). £100. Plus postage at cost. Tel: 01782 515802.

Returning to the BCA car (which I thought this one was - but isn't - see below), I received this from Darren last night:

"We managed to sell the other Green Bonneted SV chassis to a guy called Fergus down in Leicestershire I think it was a few months back, so that can now be removed from the website if possible please.

The chassis we are now selling hasn't been up for sale untill just before Christmas (October/November time), so the one offered by BCA in July was a different one."

So there appear to be two Reliant-engined cars out there. I have asked him for the chassis number of this one.

Anyone know 'Fergus' of Leicestershire?

An update on this thread from 2009. 1930 tourer UT 6674 (M21065) has turned up. It has been acquired by VMR member Robin Harcourt-Smith - who also owns and actively campaigns the ex-George Bryne CMS DH 8074. Robin says he bought it in a moment of madness. It came with a buff logbook, but no V5c, so he will need help with the re-registration at some point.
