Drive them off the road.

Post by Mike Stubbings »

Hi All, I read recently a gentleman was not concerned about petrol prices as his car did 50mpg,the car in question being an Austin Seven and he was using it for all local journeys.Maybe if we all, us old car owners, did the same and flooded the road with older vehicles we could save money and maybe reverse the the situation and drive the moderns off the road. :D Unlikely but nice thought. :( Happy motoring, Mike

sadly, like fags and cable tv, it appears petrol is something of an "essential" these days. I know plenty of people who still drive short distances and unlike me sit outside shops etc with their engine running. I, however, even turn my engine off at lights and queues, the joys of running a diesel landrover! It all goes to show that you couldn't tax people out of their cars-anyone noticed a reduction in traffic with these high fuel prices?
if it's got wheels or chips - it'll cost you dear
