All very pricy, or am I out of touch with the market?

Prices do seem high at the moment - but how many cars are actually selling.
The blue special did not reach its reserve which I am assuming was around the £3k mark, it would be an interesting debate on whether its worth this money when the original SV cars are only a little bit more expensive.
There are a couple of ohc coachbuilt saloons around for £5k-£6k these have been on the market for quite a while too, however these are well priced compared with the competition most British vintage cars seem to be up around £8k-£10k with much more being asked for those with better performance or rarity value. Is the Minor underrated and hence under valued?

Minor prices
To illustrate your point Jeremy, Martin Crostin's lovely 34 two seater has been re-listed on eBay here:

Apart from anything else, timing appears to be a crucial element on eBay, with open cars (unsurprisingly) selling more readily in the spring and early summer. My Aero Minx attracted a lot of bids and sold last year at the end of June.

Does not look like Martin's car will reach the reserve again, is anything selling?
Looking round the various dealer web sites, and auction house sites the prices and estimates still reflect a good market, H&H have an M Type - est £12.5-£14.5k when most private sale M types are around £10k.
The Minors that are missing from the sales lists are those at £4k level have these sold or have the owners given up?
It would be interesting if we could compile a recent sales/purchase list perhaps it would help guage the market value of our cars. I fear this will be well below the restoration costs for most.
