hi ,"
i have been wondering about oiling my 32minor, in the book it says use "Morrisol" in Enots oil gun,
my questions are-:

Do We have a modern equivalent?
Can my enots grease gun be used for oil ?

as I do my running restoration I find that up to now most of the oil nipples have been filled with grease,as i have cleaned them I have reverted back to oil but only thin for the time being until The oil problem is solved.

Hi Colin,
As a general rule of thumb, modern lubricants are far superior to those available in the thirties. I think there is a seperate thread in the 'Technical' section that covers this. I also believe most of us use modern greases (what else is available?) where perhaps in the past a thick or high SAE oil was recommended by Morris in their handbooks. Many owners (not all) also change the old brass nipples to the more modern type for ease of use. Our cars have a lot of nipples and need frequent greasing! As to how many nipples - I seem to remember it as a question at one of the earlier VMR rallies and without going out and counting them, I believe it might be 30?
