I am the new owner of the 1929 Morris that Ian recently reported as being discovered in Toronto Canada. It is now in Nova Scotia.
Among the several items that will need replacing is the silencer.
Is there a recommended readily available modern unit that has proven itself?
It looks like 1 1/4" on both inlet and exhaust side.
Thanks
Grant

Hi Grant, and welcome to the Register and the Forum.

I don't personally have any information on modern equivalents, but I suspect others will. I get mine from the Cooke group in England and are the same as those fitted to the earlier Bullnose Morrises, which the Cooke Group specialize in.

A good source of parts for the Minor is Ian Harris in England and I'm sure he would be able to advise. You can contact him at ianhms@outlook.com.

Another source of information might be the North American MMM Register (https://www.nammmr.org/). I'm sure one of their members would have data on replacement M Type silencers available in the States, and hopefully also in Canada.

Hope this helps.

Ian
