This must be the first year for many that Clive H-G is not competing in DG325. Is he in something else this year? I assume Paul R. is in the New Carden?
Chris
PS Good luck to Mr. Lee - the Coachbuilt Saloon is a jolly fine car in which to compete. :D

Did anyone go to Brooklands today? Any images of Colin Lee's Saloon?

Just to remind everyone what Colin and his Minor look like. This is the new reference photo for M 29266. I'm trying to pick photos of all our cars which also show the owners.

Spent the day marshalling doing the timing on test 4 (am) and test 10(pm).

Colin Lee was 'no show non starter' but to keep the side up young Paul Rogers got a late entry in the old Caramac War-Horse.

On our tests Paul did very well and managed to complete 2 quite tricky routes correctly, in the morning we had a very high failure rate, probably 50% getting the W for wrong route. However the lack of horses meant he was about 20 seconds slower on the FTD, which was a Nash in the afternoon, and I think it was an Ulster in the Morning.

No pictures as I was busy with the stopwatch! But hundreds of photos were taken and will appear at some point!

I read elsewhere that Paul had recently had the Minor MOT'd and its good to hear of him out and about competing in it again. The only one flying the flag for the Cammy Minor at Brooklands! Oh, apart from the Marshall for tests 4 and 10 :D

That particular driver/car combination has won a good few awards, but perhaps that is his maiden 'First Class Award' at Brooklands (I may be wrong) In any case - Well Done Paul!

A couple of images of Paul Rogers competing (and flying the Minor flag) early in the New Year at the VSCC Brooklands Driving Tests. The second (small) image curtesy of The Automobile (April 2008 edition) and the first curtesy of the The VSCC Bulletin (Spring 2008 edition) - photographer Simon Staveley. Paul picked up a first class award.
