Shipping awkward vehicle parts from the UK worldwide

Post by Ian Grace »

if you have any large and/or awkward parts to ship abroad from the UK, our member Eric Mouser may well be able to help.

Eric reports, "I am in the midst of sending a window glass for a Mercedes ML to a mate in Thailand – unobtainable in Asia. It’s too big (and fragile) to post and not big enough to fill a container! – so I have had to get an agent here to airfreight – and to do that I have had to get an EORI no. from HMRC. It took an hour on the phone to fill in the e-forms (!) – but it does mean I can now export any motor vehicle parts around the world! Might be useful if any VMR member wants to send any large bits to US or Oz or wherever."

If anyone would like to avail themselves of Eric's services, please either look up his contact details in the members' list in the Members' Area of the website, or contact me.
