As member no. 137, David was an early member and huge supporter of the register, acquiring a Semi-sports project which I provided the body for and David Cooksey built for him. This replaced an earlier large veteran that David found increasingly difficult to swing - it has no starter. He campaigned the Semi-Sports far and wide, always bringing it to our summer rallies from his home in Devon. His involvement with the vintage movement goes back decades and he produced some superb films of early VSCC events, many of which I have on VHS tapes.
