Thank you Ian.
Honestly, the number of times I have had this fuel feed in pieces...
Weirdly, it has not given me any trouble over the summer. Could it be the drop in temperature?
I will have another fiddle and report back.

Ah yes, but then I would have to contend with an SU fuel pump.
Not sure which is worse...

Over the 10,000 miles since December 2020 I've only had two issues with the SU pump, both issues were caused by vapour lock, both times were quickly fixed by removing the outlet pipe to reduce the pressure it needed to remedy the problem itself. As an aside, a good 6,000+ of those miles has been on undiluted E10 without any issues so far apparent (other than the possible reason for the above vapour lock??). I decided that cars from that era could have ran on Cleveland Discol fuel, which might have been the equivalent of E25, so the little SV engine should be fine on E10. I will add that the carburettor has been rebuilt with what should hopefully be ethanol resistant plumbing from Burlen Fuel Systems (SU). 8)

Or even an SU Petrolift! I have made the decision to replace the original Petrolift that came with my McEvoy with a regular SU pump. Bronze bodied of course. :-)
