We have just completed our charity drive in UF 7090 from Gloucester to Minehead as part of the charity drive to collect funds for Macmillan and (for me) also Cecily's Fund, a charity that provides education to AIDS orphans in Zambia.
The car has behaved extremely well following the repair of the major oil leak that reoccurred during Drive it Day. So all back together and we set of for Gloucester on 6th May in massive winds that rattled the bonnet quite alarmingly. From Gloucester Cathedral we did find a bit of the 'edge' at Priding and then onwards to Severn Beach and over the Clifton Suspension Bridge into Bristol.
After a day's rest we set off to Minehead and eighty miles later we arrived to be met by our daughter's family complete with two granddaughters keen to be part of the action. At present we are in Lacock waiting for the return home (another 100 miles) to Northampton tomorrow.
