This lot looks interesting. As the going rate for "M" types seems to be approaching £30 grand, at the estimated price looks a good buy.

I know how the guy feels, I hope to have the one I have been rebuilding for 50 years will be on the road before too long!

The Minor lot 967 looks a smart car and at estimate shows the premium that MGs command over Minors.

David.

Although lot 967 is for a very nice looking OHC saloon it ups the ante on these models too.
It will be interesting to see if the £10-£12k is reached.

How about a sweepstake for how much we think the chassis will fetch?

The Minor sold for £6000 - looks like a good buy, the M type unsold. I hear the M type was just a pile of rust though.

Pity that the Minor only made £6000 it seems that someone has a good buy, although the estimate at 9-12k always seemed a bit optimistic.

Yes, seems underpriced these days, assuming it was roadworthy and road sorted. This was Chris Garner's saloon. There is a story that the car was originally owned by the owner of a large country house, and bequeathed to the gardener. It is also reports that it was owned at one time by the Historic Motor Hire Co. Ltd. (now defunct) and was used in various film and TV productions.

March 2011 - ex-Kenneth Cox, Beechacre, Fisherford, Huntly, Aberdeenshire, AB54 6BA. ex-Dennis Wilson, 5 Hans Avenue, Wantage, Oxfordshire, OX12 7DB. ex-Arthur James (Jim) Hunt, 39, Roedich Drive, Taverham, Norwich, NR8 6RA. Sold to Dennis Wilson June 2006. Ex-Julian Hanwell, 11 Bryony Way, Attleborough, Norfolk, NR17 1QL. Bought Feb 2001 from Robert Simpson, brother of Andrew Simpson.

I will contact Pete Williams at HVA and ask him to pass on a Membershop Form to the new owner.
