Vintage Minor Register

The number stamped on the block of my engine is 7480. Any ideas about when this might date from?

May 1929 is as close as we can get without finding the number in the Progress Books.

Engine 7356 was fitted on 16th May 1929 and 7675 on 29th May. But remember that engines were not fitted in strict numerical order.

That is close enough for me, the vendor of my car told me the engine block dated from 29 and and I was just checking this is correct.
