Antifreeze

Got radiator back today after some repair, would you recommend using antifreeze or just draining the system when not in use, if antifreeze are they're any recommendations other that Bluecol

If you drain out the water then you leave lots of nice damp iron to start rusting
Next year even more and so on
Leave the anti freeze in all the year round.
It also avoids the situation of having to explain to the AA man, next Spring, about how you forgot that there was no water in the now seized engine !!

Thanks m8,, im going to get some antifreeze this week, I put radiator back together today and into car, I believe the blue antifreeze is the only one to use so am going to try and source some!! any recommendations!!!!! :lol:

Try and find friends to split a 25 litre drum with, it's far cheaper in bulk.

Negotiated a good deal (£60 inc vat) with my local branch of Motor World. They got a large drum in within two days.

Unfortunately they do not seem to have any branches North of the border.
