Leaf spring question

Is this something I have do something about? The grove caused by the clamp bolts is about 1 mm deep. Se picture!

I'd say this is a judgement issue, depending on what percentage of the leaf is worn away compared to the original thinckness.

The springs were considerably over-engineered, so there is a good deal of reserve strength, and you should also remember that roads in the 1930's were far worse than they are now, so the springs on our cars these days have a much easier life than they did in the past!

I think is also depends whether the damage is on the main leaf or not. If it was the main leaf, I'd be more inclined to replace the leaf. If one of the other leaves breaks, the car doesn't collapse!
