Kenny,

The original light was a single unit attached to the right hand end of the numberplate. It was a Lucas TF201. It was a single red light with a clear side windown that illuminated the number plate with white light. The diameter of the red light lens doesn't meet modern standards - and would have been an MoT failure in the past (and presumably is still illegal regardless of the MoT or not). It is also illegal to have just a single rear light

You can obtain a pair of legal-sized modern repro lamps from the usual suppliers like Paul Beck and attach them suitably (please dont mount them on the wings!), retaining the TF201 to illuminate the number plate (which is also a legal requirement).

Then again, if you modify your braking system to add a brake light switch on the pedal, you can also buy double filament type repro rear lights to display tail and brake lighting.

You can get new holders from various suppliers, search ba15 or ba15d for either single or double filament holders, or just look on ebay!
