How do you remove the king pins (SV)? I assume they are to be pressed out from upside …

The hard part is usually getting the tapered cotter pin out. Don't try to tap in out, because multiple light hits won't shift it and you will just spread the pin. I give them a good soaking with WD40 and then give them one really hard clout and that usually works.

Once the cotter pin is out, it is usually easy to drive the kingpin out of the axle eye. It should come out either way - up or down.
