Post by Jpallis001 »

Hi All, I have decided to look for something that I might fit into a little better. Anyone looking for Saloon?

John,

Just in time to place an advert in M 146 which goes to print this Friday. I will also place and advert on the website for you.

Any thoughts on a suitable replacement?

Thanks Ian. Not at all sure what I will look for. I quite enjoy driving the Minor. It was my first experience of driving a Pre-War car. Was amazed at its ability to climb hills, albeit in low gear. And of course its ability to navigate the rivers that you sent us along last year as part of the Prescott Rally!

Will keep you informed.

John,

Well, there were only four fords last year - but as we are in down in the Vale of Evesham this year, and as the tour is commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Gilg Expedition which crossed many rivers in Africa, we have FIVE new ones this time. :o

Do you know yet whether you are going to be able to make Peatling Magna or Prescott? We fly four weeks today, and are packing paperwork, cameras and stuff already!

Hi - Do not think that I will be able to attend either of the events in July. Hope all goes well. As always, amazed at your energy and appetite for hard work!

You might recognise the Hotel in the photo below? with Jeff's Minor in the foreground as he approaches a checkpoint on this years Beamish Rally. Might see if he wants to have a ride over to the Lake District next week to get a photo in front of the Hotel that you mentioned in another thread.
