This morning I received this interesting invitation to the Register - sounds like f\a fun day! Any takers from our western members? This is the same weekend as our Midlands Weekend but I don't think that is a problem.
"Invitation to Morris Car/Vehicle Show
New for 2013! Ilfracombe on the north Devon Coast is hosting a new event for 2013. All Things Morris will take place on Saturday 13 July. Several Morris Dancing sides will be performing, Ilfracombe museum have an exhibition of the work of William Morris and we even have Morris real ales!
Central to the event is a Morris vehicle show on the seafront and we would like to invite Morris owners to take part. As this is the 100th anniversary of the Bullnose Morris it would be great if we can get owners of vehicles of all sorts going right back to this original production vehicle.
We would like to invite any of your members within reasonable distance of Ilfracombe to take part in our event. Exact timings to be confirmed (it will be the afternoon) but if anyone is interested please email info@visitilfracombe.co.uk and we will forward details and more information nearer the time. We also expect to have some trophies for relevant classes but as this is something new for us we aren't quite sure what those classes should be. Can you give us any pointers?
