"We would like to invite your club and its members to join us for the Cumbria Classic Weekend.
Wigton Motor Club has been running the Cumbria Classic Weekend for 25 years this year. As a long established car club our show is the biggest in the region (usually around 600 cars). The weekend starts with the Rose & Thistle Challenge on the Saturday which is 140 mile tour in the Pennines and Scottish Borders.
The Cumbria Classic Car Show takes place on August 18th at Dalemain House in the Lake District which is about 2 miles from junction 40 of the M6 making access very easy. Being a tourist area there is a wide variety of accommodation options as well as camping on the show field.
Each year we chose 2 or 3 marques to be the features marque for the Show. This means there will be dedicated classes for the marque plus space for pre booked clubs. There will also be arena time for each marque.
This year’s invited featured marques will be: Morris, Aston Martin & Toyota.
